Job Description

Job SummaryCompany, a leading construction firm specializing in design-build tilt-up construction, is seeking a talented and passionate Project Manager to join our team in Apex, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Project Manager (PM) or Assistant Project Manager (APM) for a concrete or steel subcontractor. Tilt-Up construction experience is a plus. Candidates whose experience is primarily with a General Contractor (GC) are less likely to be a fit.

You will contribute to exciting projects and collaborate with experienced professionals, including architects, contractors, engineers, superintendents, and other project stakeholders.

ResponsibilitiesAs Project Manager, you will collaborate extensively with our superintendents and engineers, providing you with comprehensive exposure across the entire construction lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities may encompass:
Provide accurate estimatesCoordinate the initial design phase with the architect and engineerReview and coordinate construction documentsWork with the job site superintendent and foremen to plan, organize, and direct project activitiesInitiate and maintain relationships with the owner or general contractor to facilitate the projectRepresent the company in project meetings and attend coordination meetingsKeep projects on schedule through daily communication with the project superintendentKeep projects on budget by accurately estimating the project, monitoring job costs weekly, and initiating corrective actionsHandle procurement and purchasingCoordinate with project stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycleRequired QualificationsExperience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager with a concrete or steel subcontractorTilt-Up construction experience is preferred but not requiredConcrete or structural steel construction experience preferredStrong managerial and organizational skillsExcellent communication and coordination skillsA collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solvingFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations is a plusBachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred but not a strict requirementCandidates with primarily General Contractor (GC) experience are less likely to be a fitPreferred Candidate ProfileThe strongest candidates will have:
