Job/Candidate Description:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with a diverse subcontractor base, have strong supervisory and superior motivational skills. The candidate should be familiar with all types of construction (i.e. ground up, tenant fit-up, restaurant, historic, etc…) with an emphasis on multifamily and historic restoration. Finally, self-motivation, excellent written/oral communication, and familiarity with tablet based project software is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Represent the Company in a positive and professional manner.
• Coordinate and run the day to day construction on site: schedule, subcontractors, vendors and milestones.
• Lead jobsite safety: a clean site, immediate hazard correction, regular safety check ins.
• Create and maintain excellent rapport with Architects, Owners, Inspectors, and Subcontractors.
• Perform routine quality control inspections to ensure quality workmanship.
• Report progress daily through DFRs, and communicate issues, with potential solutions, to the PM.
• Mentor assistant superintendents and APMs.

Requirements:

• Experience
• 8 or more years of commercial construction supervision.
• Safety
• OSHA 10 minimum (OSHA 30 ideal).
• Strong understanding/knowledge of NC building codes.
• Communication and problem solving skills.
• A calm, steady leadership style that earns respect instead of demanding it.
