Market Trainer Take 5 Car Wash - 3.3 Charlotte, NC Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Benefits Leadership training provided Qualifications Outdoor work Coaching Equipment troubleshooting Driver's License Full Job Description The Market Trainer is responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality training across all car wash locations within an assigned market. This role focuses on onboarding and developing team members—both in Operations and Maintenance—through hands-on, in-tunnel, and on-site training. The Market Trainer ensures that employees understand car wash processes, equipment safety, guest service standards, chemical handling, preventative maintenance basics, and company operating procedures. This role partners closely with Site Managers, Market Directors and Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, and the centralized Training Team to roll out new programs, support new site openings, strengthen talent pipelines, and identify training gaps across the market. The Market Trainer plays a vital part in maintaining operational consistency and equipment reliability across the brand. Key Responsibilities Training Delivery (Operations & Maintenance) Facilitate new hire onboarding for car wash associates, site leaders, and maintenance technicians Deliver hands-on training on tunnel operations, loading procedures, safety protocols, equipment resets, and quality standards Train teams on chemical usage, titration basics, preventative maintenance tasks, and tunnel readiness Certify team members on SOPs, wash quality, guest experience, upselling standards, and safety Lead training at high-volume locations and designated training sites Complete other duties as assigned to support their market New Site Openings & Field Support Serve as the primary trainer for market-level new site openings Deliver pre-opening and opening-week training for all roles, including operations and maintenance basics Support ramp-up by reinforcing procedures, performance expectations, and equipment care Provide additional coaching and troubleshooting support during the stabilization period Coaching & Performance Development Conduct on-site visits to evaluate skill levels, observe wash quality, and reinforce training Provide coaching to improve tunnel operations, throughput, guest service, chemical management, and equipment uptime Partner with Site Managers and DMs on onboarding plans, action plans, and development plans Mentor high-potential employees to prepare them for leadership roles Execution of Company Priorities Work closely with the centralized training team to roll out new initiatives, SOP updates, technology changes, and equipment or chemical updates Ensure all training content is delivered accurately and consistently across the market Support pilot programs and provide feedback based on real-world implementation Communicate implementation challenges and successes from the field back to training leadership Training Quality, Documentation & Compliance Document training hours, certifications, checklists, and skill verifications Maintain training logs and ensure compliance with company training requirements Perform quality checks to ensure adherence to wash standards, equipment care protocols, and safety guidelines Provide feedback to instructional designers to improve job aids, SOPs, and training materials Training Gap Identification Evaluate performance trends to uncover training gaps at the site, team, or regional level Gather feedback from Market Leaders, Maintenance teams, and site teams Recommend targeted training solutions and improvements Support corrective action plans where skill or knowledge gaps affect safety, uptime, or guest experience Qualifications Required 1-3 years of experience in car wash operations, tunnel operations, or maintenance Strong understanding of tunnel equipment, basic troubleshooting, and wash-quality standards Experience coaching or training frontline employees or leaders Strong communication and facilitation skills Ability to work in fast-paced outdoor environments around moving equipment Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the market Preferred Experience as Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Market Technician, or similar role Experience training or instructing in a field environment Familiarity with chemical systems, preventative maintenance routines, or tunnel safety protocols Experience using LMS tools, digital training programs, or SOP systems Bilingual (if relevant to market) Success Factors / Competencies Strong operational and equipment understanding Ability to teach complex tunnel processes simply and practically Hands-on coaching style with high credibility in the field Commitment to safety and uptime standards Strong relationship-building with Market and Maintenance leadership Organized, proactive, detail-oriented Passion for developing people and enhancing field performance Physical & Work Environment Requirements Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work inside tunnel and equipment rooms around moving and automated machinery Ability to lift 40 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods Frequent travel between sites; occasional out-of-market travel If you're ready to take the wheel and drive performance across a growing territory, we want to hear from you.
