Director of Preconstruction - Mechanical

gpac is partnered with a Mechanical Contractor that is looking to add a Direcotr of Preconstruction to their team.

Director of Preconstruction Responsibilities:

Leading project kickoff activities post-award. Collaborating with estimating to understand the scope and budget of a project. Developing and managing the baseline preconstruction cost forecast.

Defining and maintaining team responsibilities and decision matrices to clarify roles among the project teams. Defining and coordinating the preconstruction deliverables package, including: Schedule, design documents, submittals, BIM models, installation drawings, hanger maps, material schedules, and Trimble points. Building and maintaining a preconstruction schedule aligned with construction timelines. Aligning with the Construction Project Managers to coordinate field and fabrication timelines.

Director of Preconstruction Primary Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Mechanical Project Manager role or a related field. Strong understanding of construction terminology, processes, and industry best practices. Hands-on experience with REVIT, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is highly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Planner. Self-driven with excellent time management and organizational skills.
