Job Purpose:
Effectively manage multiple (8-12) residential scattered site construction projects simultaneously while maintaining up-to-date and accurate schedules, purchase orders, quality control, trade partner relationships, and customer service standards. The area of coverage is several counties throughout Southeast Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina. Don't apply unless this is achievable for you.
Job Requirements and Duties:
Construction experience of 5 years or more with a minimum of 3 years in residential construction required. Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and county permit plans, contract documents, change order addenda, and engineered designs. Candidate must possess the ability to adjust in a fast-paced environment, be self-motivated, dependable, and reliable to manage residential custom home-building in a scattered site construction business model. The ability to schedule contractors via an iPad; follow up on construction checklists; conduct county inspection meetings, perform multiple quality inspections, maintain incredible customer service relationships, and be willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done on time and within budget, while maintaining a safe and drug-free working environment. Skills and Qualifications:
Problem-solving and logistical reasoning are an absolute must. Common sense is imperative. Ability to work with the internet and Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required. Comprehensive knowledge of smartphones and tablets is also a prerequisite. Other skills required are working with hand and power tools, organizing construction files, maintaining records, implementing cost-saving actions, reviewing and implementing plan changes. Must be a positive person with discipline and the desire to work hard to achieve team goals.
