Project Manager (Residential Construction) Built by Murray | Hertford, NC (Eastern North Carolina)
On-Target Earnings:
$60,000 - $70,000+ based on experience, with bonus opportunities tied to performanceLocation Requirement:

The Opportunity We are seeking a Project Manager to lead residential construction projects from start to finish in the field. You will be expected to take full ownership of your projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to the company's standards for quality, craftsmanship, and client experience. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing schedules, subcontractors, quality, and the overall success of each project. The right candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of their projects from day one. This role is best suited for a Superintendent who has experience running jobs independently and is ready to take full responsibility for project execution. What You'll Be Responsible For Manage all aspects of residential construction projects in the field from start to finish Drive project schedules and ensure work is completed on time Coordinate and hold subcontractors accountable to schedule and quality standards Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during construction Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients and internal team members Identify and address issues proactively before they impact schedule or budget Perform material takeoffs and coordinate ordering needs Ensure jobsites are safe, clean, organized, and professionally maintained Manage inspections, permits, and code compliance Oversee all phases of construction, including structural, exterior, and interior finishes Maintain accurate project schedules, job logs, and communication using company project management/CRM systems (JobTread or similar; training provided) Ensure all work meets company standards for craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail. Must-Have Qualifications (Required) Minimum 3-5 years of residential construction experience Minimum 2 years managing jobsites or leading crews independently Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish without daily oversight Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methods, and materials Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans Experience coordinating subcontractors across multiple trades Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in the field High level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail Strong communication skills with both clients and trade partners This Role Is NOT aFit If You:
