About Us We are a growing and established general contracting construction company based in Hickory, North Carolina. Our team is committed to delivering quality projects while building lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, and employees. We are seeking an experienced Controller with strong construction accounting expertise to oversee our financial operations and contribute to the strategic growth of the company. Position Summary The Controller will report directly to the President. This individual will be responsible for all accounting and financial functions of the company, while also leading a small accounting and administrative staff. The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of construction accounting, strong leadership skills, and the ability to provide timely financial information that supports sound business decisions. Essential Responsibilities Financial Management Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, and financial reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Coordinate annual financial reviews, audits, tax preparation, and banking relationships.
