Job Description

Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction Northern Minnesota A well-established heavy civil contractor with more than 50 years of success is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing team. What You'll Work On This company performs a wide variety of heavy civil construction projects throughout Minnesota and North Dakota, including: Large-scale earthmoving and mass excavation Road and highway construction Underground utility installation Site development and commercial excavation Flood mitigation and water management projects Aggregate production and material operations Environmental and landfill construction projects No two projects are exactly the same, providing plenty of variety and opportunities to expand your experience. What You'll Do Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish. Serve as the primary point of contact for private and public sector customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate project activities. Maintain open communication and addressing concerns promptly. Maintain project documents, complete required forms, applications and permits. Including quantity tracking/verification and monthly pay applications. Monitor performance standards as it relates to our company's policy and contract specifications. Monitor and control project through directional guidance of on-site Supervisor to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures. Represent the company in project meetings. Generate submittals, Project specific plans. Work with Supervisors and GPS program to ensure quantity surveys for payment are accurate. Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management or other related degree (preferred) Construction Experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiar with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and construction scheduling software is a plus. Strong problem solving, organizational, and time management skills. Multi-tasking capability in a fast-paced work environment. Knowledge of project management practices.
