Job Description

Project Superintendent Classification Salary, Exempt Reports to Project Manager Job Summary The Project Superintendent plans, directs and coordinates activities pertaining to each project in accordance with company policies and governmental regulations. Daily direction and coordination of the project by the Project Superintendent ensures that the work is carried out safely, correctly, within budget and on schedule. Essential Functions
  • Assists project management in developing and implementing project work plans and procedures, working documents and standards to ensure project goals are met.
  • Supervises total project to ensure project is in accordance with design, budget and schedule and is staffed appropriately.
  • Plans, coordinates and supervises on-site functions and provides input with scheduling, engineering and material control in order to make sure project objectives are met.
  • Supervises and directs field personnel and subcontractors to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project are met.
  • Comply, understand and support safety, quality and environmental initiatives to ensure compliant work environment.
  • Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines
  • Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary
  • Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, schedules and subcontracts.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager/ownership.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, DEP and other governing body regulations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license. Preferred Education and Experience
  • Degree or certificate in related field.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification.
  • Earthwork and underground utilities

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, sitting and climbing for extended periods of time.
  • Must frequently lift or move items 50 pounds or more
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work and walk on uneven terrain. Competencies

Position Type and Hours This is a full-time position. 40 hours per week and may require longer hours including evenings and weekends. Days and hours of work vary according to job. Travel Travel is required. We are a National General Contractor with projects throughout the country. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
