Job Description

Overview Manzitto is a commercial general contractor seeking a full-time Foreman capable of organizing and completing tasks delegated by the on-site Superintendent or Project Manager. The Foreman is responsible for leading field crews, managing day-to-day site operations, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commercial construction, skilled carpentry, and general labor operations, and can both perform hands-on work and lead others effectively. Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To) Directly report to and assist the Manzitto project Superintendent with daily activities Supervise and coordinate field crew members, subcontractors, and laborers on site Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times Ensure safety precautions are followed and actively promote an injury-free environment Perform and oversee rough and finish carpentry work as needed Proper use and oversight of equipment including skid-steer, forklift, and man lift Work from ladders or scaffolding under proper safety conditions Assist with site logistics, including loading/unloading of material deliveries Perform miscellaneous tasks including concrete and grout placement, caulking, demolition, and framing Monitor progress and communicate issues or delays to the Superintendent or Project Manager Prepare daily reports documenting site conditions, crew activities, and work progress Being prepared at all times to work in an outdoor environment, regardless of weather conditions Provide general backup support for all other positions as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Proper use and oversight of equipment including skid-steer, forklift, and man lift Knowledge of how to read and understand construction drawings and specifications Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks within a given timeline Demonstrated ability to lead, teach, and mentor others in construction skills OSHA 10-hour certification preferred; OSHA 30-hour a plus CPR/First Aid Training a plus Ideal Candidate Would Possess the Following Skills Good communication skills — both verbal and written Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail Skilled in rough carpentry including framing, backing/blocking, and door frame installations Skilled in finish carpentry including cabinetry, trim, and door/hardware installations Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and powder-actuated tools properly and safely Ability to read a tape measure and use basic layout and measurement skills Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and sequencing Ability to lift/carry materials up to 50 lbs. or more with assistance Genuine interest in the construction industry and willingness to grow
