reviews Full-time The YMCA of Greater Omaha is looking to hire another full-time property Job Description This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Property Maintenance Technician enhances YMCA properties by completing maintenance work orders for YMCA grounds and facilities. Qualifications 1. High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree highly desirable 2. Three or more years of experience in facility management or closely related field preferred 3. Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry or other maintenance related areas in a commercial environment preferred 4. Complete within 30 days of hire: BLS CPR; First Aid; State Pool Operator's Certificate 5. Completion of YMCA risk management and other maintenance-specific certifications, as needed 6. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check 7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between branches on a daily basis required. 8. Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training. 9. Report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and adhere to mandated abuse reporting and responsibilities. 10. Complete all required abuse prevention training prior to first shift. Essential Functions 1. Completes association-wide facility work orders as assigned. 2. Maintains supply and maintenance closets, tools and equipment in a safe, functional and orderly manner. 3. Assists location staff as needed to maintain cooperative working relationships. 4. Relates to the public in a positive manner. 5. Actively participates in department and association staff meetings and/or related trainings. 6. Performs other duties as assigned.
