Job Description

Job Summary Busby Const. Co. Inc., is seeking a dynamic and experienced Heavy Highway Construction Supervisor to take charge in the field, lead crews, and keep projects movig safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Duties Supervise daily operations on highway construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols. Lead crews, operators, and subcontractors. Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to guide crews and ensure accuracy. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize workflow, quality, and safety standards. Conduct regular site inspections to enforce OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards; implement corrective actions as needed. Oversee budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation to keep projects within scope and financial targets. Lead team management efforts by supervising crew members, managing performance, providing training on construction safety management, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure compliance with all construction regulations including OSHA standards; maintain detailed documentation for quality control and project records. Skills 5+ years experience with heavy highway construction projects and site supervision. Strong knowledge of federal and state construction safety regulations (OSHA) compliance. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawing review. Expertise in project scheduling, construction estimating, budgeting, and cost control strategies. Proven ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment; excellent managerial communication skills. Familiarity with pipeline projects and related infrastructure components. Knowledge of construction regulations specific to commercial highway projects; experience with quality control processes.
