Job Description

Octagon Construction is seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. We help residential and commercial clients recover from water and fire damage disasters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in estimating, and managing both commercial and residential projects, with strong organizational and leadership skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Scope, Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects from start to finish, ensuring all project phases are executed according to schedule and specifications.
  • Develop detailed estimates, project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of project execution, including procurement, subcontractor management, and on-site supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues or delays promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project status, managing expectations, and addressing any concerns or changes.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project specifications and designs are accurately implemented.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, project management methodologies, and building codes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
