Position Summary The Foreman is responsible for leading field crews, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining job-site safety, and delivering projects on schedule. This role serves as the bridge between field operations and project management, providing leadership, accountability, and support to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities LeadershipTeam Development Lead, supervise, and develop drywall and metal framing crews on commercial and residential construction projects. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that reflects Optiline's Family and Relationship values. Mentor Crew Leads, Journeymen, and Apprentices to build future leaders within the organization. Conduct daily crew meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety requirements. Project Execution Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to ensure accurate installation. Coordinate daily manpower, materials, equipment, and workflow to meet project schedules. Monitor productivity and proactively address obstacles that may impact project completion. Collaborate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades to maintain project momentum. QualityAccountability Inspect work throughout all phases of construction to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards. Take ownership of project outcomes by identifying issues early and implementing corrective actions. Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, manpower logs, and material usage records. Ensure projects are completed right the first time while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Safety Leadership Champion Optiline's Safety culture by leading daily safety talks and promoting safe work practices. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Identify, communicate, and eliminate job-site hazards. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. CommunicationRelationships Serve as the primary field contact for Project Managers and other stakeholders. Communicate project progress, manpower needs, schedule impacts, and potential risks. Build strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, inspectors, and fellow team members. Represent Optiline professionally on every job site. Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of drywall and/or metal framing experience. Minimum 2 years in a Foreman, Crew Lead, or supervisory role. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Experience leading crews of 5-20+ employees. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction best practices. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work full-time in active construction environments. Preferred Experience in commercial construction and retail exterior projects. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Experience with production tracking, scheduling, and field management software. Multi-state construction experience. Experience managing fast-paced, high-volume projects.
