Full-Time The Opportunity The Kane Company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Field Supervisor to support the planning and execution of commercial construction and tenant improvement projects across the company's portfolio. This position will assist with a combination of field oversight, project coordination, estimating, scheduling, documentation, and communication with subcontractors and internal stakeholders. The specific balance of field and project-management responsibilities may vary based on the successful candidate's experience and the needs of the Construction Department. This is an opportunity for an individual with practical construction knowledge to contribute immediately while continuing to expand their project-management capabilities. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, workmanship, safety, and compliance with project plans and specifications. Assist with the planning and coordination of commercial construction and tenant-improvement projects. Coordinate with tenants, asset managers, property teams, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and municipal officials as needed. Help develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and action-item lists. Support subcontractor bidding, bid comparisons, procurement, and contract administration. Review project documentation, including plans, specifications, proposals, change-order requests, submittals, and invoices. Document project progress through field reports, photographs, meeting notes, and schedule updates. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and day-to-day project activities. Identify potential quality concerns, scheduling conflicts, cost impacts, or other project risks and communicate them promptly. Assist with punch-list management, inspections, project closeout, and turnover to Asset Management or the tenant. Promote compliance with company safety standards. Build and maintain productive working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, tenants, and property teams. Travel regularly among project sites throughout New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Perform other project-related responsibilities appropriate to the evolving needs of the Construction Department. Qualifications Relevant experience or training in commercial construction, tenant improvements, capital projects, facilities, the building trades, construction management, or a related field. Practical knowledge of construction plans, specifications, schedules, and job-site coordination. The ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities, subcontractors, and deadlines. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to recognize workmanship issues and follow projects through completion. Comfort using smartphones, tablets, email, and standard computer applications. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel regularly among Kane project sites. Preferred Experience Experience managing subcontractors, project schedules, budgets, or construction documentation. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Familiarity with commercial electrical, plumbing, HVAC, life-safety, and general construction systems. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to climb stairs and ladders and navigate uneven terrain. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for prolonged periods. Compensation will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience and capabilities.
