Area Director Schedule:
Before & After School, School Breaks, and Summer Programs This position will offer 35-38 hours/week, including required hours during our after school programs (Mon-Fri 3PM-5PM).
Pay:
$25-30/hour, Based on experience and region Position Overview The Head Coach serves as the leader of an after-school program site, creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children. This hands-on leadership role combines youth development, staff supervision, program operations, and relationship building with families and school partners. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping children build confidence, resilience, and life skills. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership Lead daily program operations and ensure a positive experience for students. Facilitate engaging enrichment, academic support, recreation, and character-building activities. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming program environment. Manage student attendance, transitions, and dismissal procedures. Team Development Supervise and support site staff. Provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to team members. Lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture. Family & School Partnerships Build strong relationships with students, families, and school personnel. Communicate program updates, successes, and student needs. Represent the organization professionally within the school community. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate program records and documentation. Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral concerns. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in education, childcare, youth development, recreation, or a related field. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead staff while actively engaging with children. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
State Requirements:
In accordance to New Hampshire licensing, all candidates must be at least 20 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one of the following: A minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited college/university in related coursework Written documentation from the state indicating eligibility to be a Site Director in a school aged program Certification of successful completion of training as a Recreation Director

hours of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility or school 12 credits or more in child development, education, recreation or related coursework
AND 1,000
hours of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility or school Certification as an educator by the Dept. of Education Physical Requirements Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
