About The Role My client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee ground-up public sector and commercial construction projects, including retail, healthcare, tenant fit-outs, and other commercial developments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and well-versed in public sector compliance, documentation, and reporting requirements. This individual should have a proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced commercial construction environment while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Responsibilities:
Manage construction projects from award through closeout Oversee budgets, schedules, procurement, subcontractors, and client communication Coordinate with municipalities, school districts, architects, engineers, inspectors, and ownership teams Manage RFIs, submittals, ASIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout documentation Ensure compliance with NJ Public Works requirements, prevailing wage laws, and certified payroll reporting Maintain project financial tracking, forecasting, billing, and reporting Review subcontractor scopes, contracts, and buyout packages Support estimating and preconstruction turnover processes Assist with commercial projects as needed across multiple sectors About The Company My client is a respected national general contractor specializing in commercial construction, delivering projects across multiple sectors, including public works, retail, healthcare, industrial, and commercial interiors. 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor Strong NJ Public Works construction experience Understanding of prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll, public bidding procedures, etc. Experience managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to use programs including Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, etc. INDH
