- Full-time Description Permanent, position for a construction project manager with experience in heavy industrial equipment erection and construction in the power plant industry.
Primary responsibilities will include:
. Working at Somerset, NJ headquarters and also visiting construction sites as needed. Help prepare and / or review all project documentation related to construction and commissioning while ensuring all client specifications and applicable codes are met. Ensure implementation of and compliance with all relevant site procedures and ensure that all documentation is up to date. Communicate with all project stakeholders such as the erection contractors, commissioning groups, clients, owner, suppliers, and the NJ based project management team regarding all site matters. Oversee commissioning of pumps, motors, gearboxes, fans, instrumentation, piping, valves, vacuum equipment, overall plant startup, etc. Perform scheduled and routine site inspections; provide erection service support and coverage, provide warranty follow up, etc. Write detailed internal weekly and monthly reports to cover progress, notable milestones, deliveries, safety, weather, discussions, meetings, status, etc. Company has a very generous benefits package including ESOP. Requirements BS in Engineering, Civil Engineering or Construction related a big plus. Minimum 5 years industry experience with power plant related construction or heavy industry construction. Experience in industrial erection and construction including structural steel, ducting, piping, valves, tanks, vacuum equipment, etc. Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, AWS, AISC and OSHA codes. Experience with MS Office, including Microsoft Project or similar scheduling app. Strong communication skills, especially report writing and presentations is essential. #ERGx
