Overview:
A leading real estate developer and builder is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee large-scale ground-up projects in the Philadelphia market. This opportunity is ideal for a field leader with strong experience managing the structural and exterior phases of complex urban construction projects, including concrete, steel, site logistics, and vertical construction. This is not a travel role. The company has an exceptional backlog of major projects already secured locally, providing long-term stability and career growth for years to come. Team members have the opportunity to work on highly visible projects ranging from approximately $80M to $300M+ in value while remaining in the Philadelphia area.
Responsibilities:
Lead field operations for ground-up construction projects from sitework through enclosure. Coordinate concrete, structural steel, crane operations, and major subcontractors. Maintain project schedule, quality standards, and jobsite safety. Conduct daily subcontractor coordination meetings. Drive production and hold trade partners accountable for performance. Collaborate with Project Managers, Owners, Consultants, and Inspectors. Manage site logistics on complex urban construction sites. Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards. Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget. Produce look-ahead schedules and track critical path activities.
Must-Have Skills:
3+ years of Superintendent experience on concrete and steel high-rise multi-family or commercial construction projects. Strong proficiency in core and shell, concrete, and structural steel construction. Strong project scheduling expertise with ability to develop detailed look?ahead plans. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and complex schedules. Strong leadership and communication skills. Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools. Validated driver's license with reliable transportation. Physical capability to lift 60?lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
