Job Summary The Piping & Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for supervising and coordinating field construction activities related to piping and mechanical systems. This role ensures contractors perform work in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements, while supporting inspections, testing, system walkdowns, and turnover activities. Job Description Supervise and coordinate field construction contractors performing piping and mechanical work Monitor piping and mechanical construction activities to ensure work is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality standards Confirm field construction contractors' adherence with approved welding procedures Coordinate and monitor piping and mechanical activities through construction, testing, and system turnover Monitor contractor work and identify construction, quality, or field issues requiring resolution Review results and reports for NDE including radiographic, phased array, shear wave, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and PMI Witness testing of piping systems Participate in system walkdowns and verify systems are ready for turnover Review system turnover packages for accuracy and completeness Confirm system restoration following testing Coordinate with contractors and project teams regarding piping and mechanical construction activities Verify that completed work meets applicable project requirements before testing and turnover Skills Required Strong understanding of piping and mechanical construction practices and quality standards Experience supervising and coordinating piping and mechanical construction activities Knowledge of welding procedures and inspection requirements Familiarity with NDE methods including radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, phased array, shear wave, and PMI Ability to review and interpret technical reports, drawings, specifications, and construction documentation Ability to monitor contractor performance and identify field construction and quality issues Strong understanding of piping system testing, walkdowns, restoration, and turnover activities Strong field observation, coordination, and verification skills Effective communication skills for coordinating with contractors and project teams Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure work is completed in accordance with project requirements Education/Training/Certifications High School Degree or GED GAS Energy Staffing LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
