Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will work closely with Project Managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role is ideal for someone with construction experience who is ready to grow into a Project Manager position. Responsibilities Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar construction management software to ensure timely project milestones. Support project coordination efforts by liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth communication and workflow. Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure project specifications are accurately followed and identify potential issues early. Contribute to cost estimating processes by supporting construction estimating activities with accurate data collection and analysis. Monitor construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project timelines. Prepare progress reports, change order documentation, and other necessary project documentation using tools like ProCore and Bluebeam. Assist in tracking project budgets, procurement schedules, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency. Help manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders Monitor job site safety and ensure compliance with regulations Attend project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders Support cost control and forecasting activities Requirements Proven experience or internship in construction management or related field with hands-on construction site exposure. Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel or similar tools. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings. Ability to interpret contracts and technical specifications accurately. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in project scheduling and project management principles within a construction environment. Knowledge of 3D or other design software is a plus but not mandatory. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and vendors.
