The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for managing strategic client relationships and overseeing project opportunities from initial identification through award or closeout. Operating under the seller/doer model, this role serves as the primary point of contact for clients within their assigned region and industry sectors. The Preconstruction Manager will collaborate closely with estimating, operations, business development, and marketing teams to deliver client-focused proposals and achieve regional and corporate sales goals. Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • 8+ years of experience in industrial or commercial construction, project management, or business development.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Knowledge of estimating, bid development, and preconstruction processes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build trust.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region to meet with clients and internal teams.
Preferred:
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM and familiarity with Industrial Info Resources (IIR) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
