  • Data Center Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical design, construction, and commissioning activities for commercial and data center projects.
The role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget and to specification while ensuring safety, code compliance and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical background, construction site experience, and proven project management skills in complex, high availability environments. Key Responsibilities Manage the full project lifecycle from planning and estimating through procurement, construction, testing and commissioning. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and resource plans; track progress and report status to stakeholders. Coordinate electrical design reviews, shop drawings and submittals; partner with engineers, consultants and architects to resolve design issues. Direct and manage subcontractors and onsite crews; schedule and supervise electrical installation activities. Ensure compliance with electrical codes (e.g., NEC), standards and client requirements; implement quality control and inspection processes. Plan and oversee testing, commissioning and turnover of electrical systems including power distribution, UPS, generators and grounding systems. Identify, mitigate and document project risks and change orders; maintain accurate project records and documentation. Manage procurement of electrical materials and equipment; verify deliveries, storage and installation readiness. Interface with clients, owners, construction managers and other trades to coordinate scope, schedule and site logistics. Enforce site safety programs and best practices; ensure all personnel follow OSHA and client safety requirements. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of electrical project management experience in construction environments; data center experience strongly preferred. Proven knowledge of electrical systems and equipment including distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS and standby generation. Strong working knowledge of NEC and applicable codes, standards and inspection practices. Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus. Proficient with project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office suite. Excellent communication, leadership and problem solving skills; ability to work with clients and cross functional teams. Willingness to travel to project sites and ability to work in a construction site environment; OSHA 30 or similar safety certification preferred.
