DOE (Depends on Experience) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee large-scale public works and educational construction projects throughout Southern Nevada. This leadership role is responsible for managing all on-site construction operations from project startup through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience leading field teams on complex commercial construction projects, with a background in public-sector, educational, municipal, or civic construction environments. This individual must be highly organized, proactive, and capable of driving schedules, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all on-site construction activities from project inception through completion Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and self-perform crews to ensure efficient project execution Maintain project schedules and coordinate daily activities to keep projects on track Conduct and lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings Monitor production, quality control, safety compliance, and overall project performance Review and manage RFIs, change conditions, delays, and additional work requirements Coordinate closely with Project Managers and internal teams regarding project updates, challenges, and scheduling impacts Ensure subcontractors are working from current and accurate drawings and specifications Develop and implement site logistics plans and construction strategies Track self-perform work production and manage labor productivity within budget expectations Assist with project closeout activities and turnover processes Maintain strong relationships with owners, inspectors, consultants, and public agencies Enforce company safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite Mentor and support field staff while promoting accountability and teamwork Qualifications Minimum 8+ years of Superintendent experience with a Commercial General Contractor Prior experience leading public works, educational, municipal, aviation, healthcare, or large-scale commercial projects preferred Strong background in ground-up construction and complex renovations Experience managing large field teams and multiple subcontractors simultaneously Experience with CMAR and other negotiated delivery methods preferred Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination Experience with project management and construction software such as Procore, P6, e-Builder, or similar platforms Knowledge of structural concrete, MEP systems, underground utilities, and site logistics strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and construction documents Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills OSHA knowledge and commitment to jobsite safety required Work Environment This role requires working onsite at active construction projects and may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, elevated noise levels, and physically demanding environments typical of commercial construction sites.
