A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator / Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, coordinating project schedules, obtaining competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors, and supporting project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong estimating experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build relationships with vendors while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects. Review blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine labor, material, and equipment costs. Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors to obtain competitive pricing. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and material availability. Coordinate project schedules with field supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, and clients. Track project costs and update estimates as project scopes change. Prepare quantity takeoffs and material lists. Assist with purchasing materials and coordinating deliveries to job sites. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project planning meetings. Maintain accurate estimating records and vendor databases. Identify value engineering opportunities to improve project profitability. Support project managers throughout the construction process. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of construction estimating experience. Experience estimating commercial, industrial, or residential construction projects. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and scheduling. Experience working with subcontractors and vendor pricing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift, Buildertrend, STACK, or similar is preferred. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
