Job Description Plans and coordinates the work assignments and activities of field crews and contractors. Plans work in accordance with applicable safety and environmental instructions and procedures, operating procedures and engineering plans and specifications, in order to affect the safe, timely, efficient and reliable installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of the electric distribution system and associated equipment. Maintains strict compliance with all laws, regulations, Company policies and relevant industry standards. This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a

Training Plan. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Plans and coordinates daily, weekly, and annual work activities related to Electric Operations capital and maintenance work activities in accordance with applicable procedures and specifications without compromising safety or system integrity and reliability. Forecast workloads to create short and long term work plans by allocating and balancing resources to ensure safe, efficient crew utilization. Sequence and schedule work to meet operational, reliability, and customer commitments. Ensures availability and timely delivery of materials, supplies and equipment. Ensures timely and appropriate response of electric emergency calls, and other reliability and customer service work, and completion of annual programs as required, in accordance with applicable company specifications and governmental regulations. Maintains a strong focus on safety and quality by ensuring workplans support safe execution, compliance with procedures, and realistic crew workloads. Administers and communicates operating and environmental procedures in order to ensure safe work practices and a commitment to environmental excellence. Utilize various tools including work management systems, project management software, and financial applications to plan, organize, and schedule the assignment of work to optimize productivity and meet departmental and company operating goals and priorities. Monitors and evaluates the performance of the operations work and assists in identifying resource needs and opportunities for more efficient work execution. Provides input into the organizations work management process and efficiency. Promotes a customer service-oriented team between Operating Supervisors, Chief Construction Inspectors, Engineering and/or crews by aligning work priorities, resolving constraints, and adjusting plans based upon changing conditions and / or resource availability. Performs field checks and inspections as required or directed with a focus on project/site safety and efficient work practices. Monitors adherence to Company, governmental and regulatory requirements and provides liaison with agency representatives as required Must be available to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis. Ensures proper response to emergencies and interfaces with the Distribution Control Center (DCC) . May supply and direct resources during emergencies. Support electric operations related reporting and auditing (PSC, BPU, NERC, etc.). Provides assistance to the Manager and Section Manager as required and performs special projects and other related assignments as required.. Qualifications Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the engineering or operation/maintenance of electric systems. or Associate's Degree and a minimum of 4 years overall experience, of which 3 years are in the engineering or operation/maintenance of the electric systems or High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years overall experience, of which 3 years are in the engineering or operation/maintenance of the electric systems. Relevant Work Experience Must demonstrate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and well as related Company systems, required. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of management and union personnel, vendors and contractors. Must have the ability to direct the activities of a large group in an effective and harmonious manner, required. Must be able to balance priorities, handle multiple assignments and take decisive action, required. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to foster a team spirited work environment in support of the Companys Corporate Values and Mission, required. Must be able to respond to emergencies during off shifts, weekends and holidays as needed, required. Must be willing to work in any of the electric operating areas, required. Familiarity with utility system design and construction, preferred. Working knowledge of Company operations and policies, preferred. Minimum of three years of supervisory experience, preferred. Licenses and Certifications Driver's License Required Physical Demands Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday Stand to use/operate office equipment for the duration of the workday Additional Physical Demands The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able and willing to travel, as needed. Must be able to work in field locations.
