$150,000-$180,000 + Comprehensive Benefits We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected mechanical contractor in Queens that is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company known for delivering complex commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects throughout New York City's five boroughs. As an HVAC Project Manager, you will oversee projects from contract award through final closeout, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, engineers, field teams, and internal stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from contract award through completion. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and cost controls. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution. Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Lead project meetings, client communications, and site visits across New York City's five boroughs. Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety regulations, project specifications, and quality standards. Monitor project performance and provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management. Manage change orders, project documentation, financial reporting, and closeout activities. Identify and resolve project issues proactively to keep work progressing efficiently.
Requirements:
Proven experience managing commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical piping, and equipment installation. Demonstrated ability to manage projects from pre-construction through successful completion. Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and client-management skills. Strong commercial awareness with effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Previous experience managing projects throughout New York City is highly desirable.
