Construction Superintendent — Job Posting Position Title Construction Superintendent Location New York and New Jersey Employment Type Full‑Time Role Overview The Construction Superintendent is the on‑site leader responsible for daily field operations , subcontractor coordination, schedule execution, safety compliance, and quality control. This role ensures the project progresses according to plans, specifications, and deadlines while maintaining strict adherence to OSHA and local building codes. Key Responsibilities Oversee all on‑site construction activities to maintain schedule and budget compliance. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and code compliance.
Maintain accurate documentation:
daily logs, schedules, RFIs, reports, and progress photos on Procore. Identify issues or delays and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track. Manage delivery, storage, and installation of materials and equipment. Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients. Ensure site cleanliness, organization, and professional presentation at all times. Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar supervisory role. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and shop drawings. Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, MS Office, etc.). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. OSHA certification required; additional safety training preferred. 10 years of relevant field experience. Preferred Skills Strong organizational and documentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain strict schedule discipline. Experience with inspections, permitting, and closeout procedures.
