Pre-Construction Manager Ironwood Heavy Highway - 2.9 Henrietta, NY Job Details $80,000 - $120,000 a year 13 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Word Critical path method Microsoft Excel Construction schedule coordination Construction drawing review Construction industry experience Schedule creation Microsoft Project Cross-functional collaboration Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Position Overview The Pre-Construction Manager leads planning and coordination activities during the preconstruction phase to ensure accurate, competitive, and well-coordinated project proposals. This role partners closely with Business Development, Estimating, and Operations to develop schedules, manage risk, and support a seamless transition from bid to construction. Areas of Focus Quality assurance of estimates and bid proposals Collection and analysis of productivity data to improve future bids RFP review and preparation of go/no-go summaries Coordination and leadership of estimate handoff to Project Management Ongoing customer engagement throughout the estimating phase and award Continued customer engagement to maintain relationships Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Business Development, Estimating, and Operations to define bid approach and preconstruction deliverables Assist with the development of initial project schedules and coordinate schedule requirements with Project Managers and bid documents Participate in estimating efforts for preconstruction and hard-bid projects, including bid reviews Support transition of awarded projects from preconstruction to construction Ensure bid requirements, deliverables, and submittals are complete, accurate, and timely Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Experience with Bid2Win Estimation & Track preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word Strong understanding of construction scheduling concepts and CPM principles Knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, contracts, and project management practices Familiarity with civil construction and site access/matting processes Ability to interpret plans and specifications Strong problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field 3-5+ years of experience in construction estimating or field experience This position may require occasional job-site visits.
Annual Salary:
$80-120K commensurate with experience.
