Job Summary The Construction Supervisor is responsible for leading the execution of solar energy projects within an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environment from notice to proceed through commissioning and closeout. This role oversees field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements, regulatory standards, and quality expectations. The Construction Supervisor coordinates subcontractors, site supervisors, and internal engineering, procurement, and compliance teams to align construction activities with project plans and milestones. This position plays a critical role in maintaining site safety, managing risk, resolving field issues, and ensuring adherence to OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, and applicable labor standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, solar construction experience, and a hands-on approach to driving successful project outcomes in a fast-paced EPC environment.
Responsibilities:
Construction supervision of the overall construction process, including managing subcontractors, utility requirements and suppliers. Supervise project development construction activities to meet project schedule, cost schedule, QA/QC, unit/measures control and coordination requirements. Managing the quality of work, deadlines and budget costs. Communicating with clients, subcontractors, engineers and inspectors. Preparing work schedules. Identifying, developing and utilizing the talent pool to maximize productivity and quality of work. Reporting to both budgetary and time constraints. Visiting and inspecting project sites and reporting challenges. Reporting on progress and challenges (daily and weekly reports). Creating daily construction reports utilizing created templates. Managing contractors and sub-contractors. Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a construction supervisor of electrical facilities, with at least 1 year of experience in the Photovoltaic sector Willingness to travel and stay near project sites as required.
NEC 2014
knowledge is a must.
NEC 2017
knowledge is a plus. Strong communication skills. Skilled at solving conflict between different project members and staff. Outstanding negotiation, organizational and problem-solving skills. Local connection with relevant subcontractors and labor pools a plus.
Software requirements:
MS Office (Word, Excel and Projects), and Outlook Strong reporting capabilities.
