About the Company A rapidly growing global data center developer and operator is expanding its footprint across North America, EMEA, and APAC. The business partners with hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprise clients to deliver high-performance, scalable infrastructure. With a strong pipeline driven by both new market expansion and acquisitions, the company is recognised for delivering highly efficient, reliable, and sustainable facilities. Their approach to design and construction focuses on flexibility and speed to market, supporting the evolving demands of the digital economy. The Role The organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead delivery of medium to large-scale data center projects at a Wisconsin-based campus. This is a senior, on-site leadership role with full responsibility for managing projects from early-stage planning through to commissioning and operational handover. You will oversee internal teams, external contractors, and key interfaces across the project lifecycle. You'll be expected to operate with a high level of autonomy-managing multiple workstreams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role also plays a critical part in driving site safety, mentoring team members, and ensuring alignment across construction, engineering, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery & Execution Lead all aspects of construction delivery including preconstruction, design coordination, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout Manage multiple project streams concurrently while aligning with broader business objectives Take full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder management Translate high-level project goals into executable plans with limited oversight Safety, Quality & Compliance Drive site-wide safety initiatives and enforce EH&S standards across all contractors and partners Conduct regular site walks and ensure adherence to safety protocols and reporting requirements Implement quality control measures aligned with design specifications, codes, and contractual obligations Ensure all construction activities comply with regulatory and operational standards Commercial & Financial Oversight Support RFP development and manage project budgets from initiation through completion Provide monthly financial reporting, including forecasting, cash flow tracking, and variance analysis Review contractor applications for payment and validate progress through site inspections Lead and support contract negotiations with key vendors and trade partners Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery Coordinate logistics and installation of owner-furnished equipment (OFCI) Lead commissioning efforts for critical systems and ensure successful integration into live environments Manage handover of completed facilities, including full documentation and operational readiness Leadership & Team Development Mentor and support project team members, fostering a high-performance culture Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process optimisation Promote collaboration, accountability, and professional development across the team Requirements Experience & Education Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience) 7+ years of experience managing complex construction projects (data center experience preferred) Proven track record delivering projects across both CSA and MEP scopes Experience with alternative delivery models (e.g., multi-prime) is advantageous Technical & Leadership Skills Strong leadership and decision-making capability in fast-paced environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, or similar platforms Strong understanding of mission-critical environments and uptime requirements Additional Information This is a fully site-based role in Wisconsin Travel requirements are minimal but may increase depending on project needs The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, retirement contributions, paid time off, and additional employee support programs Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Power System Study Engineer
