$40,000-$45,000 per year About the Position We are a commercial construction subcontractor specializing in interior carpentry, drywall, ceilings, and related work throughout the New York City metropolitan area. We are looking for an organized, motivated Project Administrator / Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Management and Accounting teams. This is an entry-level position with room for growth . Prior construction experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who is organized, dependable, comfortable with technology, and interested in developing a career in commercial construction management. Responsibilities The position will assist with the day-to-day administration of multiple commercial construction projects, including: Set up new projects in company software and file systems. Assist with, distribute and maintain project documentation. Assist with material purchasing and processing. Assist Accounting with document processing and compliance. Communicate with Project Managers, field personnel, General Contractors, vendors, and other members of the project team. Track outstanding items and follow up to make sure they are completed. What We're Looking For 0-2 years of professional experience. Construction experience is preferred but not required . Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on open items. Comfortable working with computers and learning new software. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PDF documents. Good written and verbal communication skills. Dependable and able to work as part of a team. Willingness to learn commercial construction terminology, documentation, and project-management processes. Experience with construction-management or accounting software is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
