General Job Description About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Pre-Construction Specialist to support residential pre-construction, design, and estimating efforts. This role is responsible for developing clear, accurate, and visually compelling graphics, plans, layouts, and presentations that support project planning, client communication, estimating, and internal coordination. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain pre-construction graphics, layouts, site plans, and visual presentations for residential projects. Interpret, review, and analyze architectural drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction teams to support bid preparation, proposal development, and project planning. Assist with planning and coordination to ensure projects are ready prior to field execution. Communicate with customers, vendors, field teams, and internal departments to gather, verify, and clarify project information. Create, update, and organize project documentation, including markups, visual aids, site plans, layouts, and presentation materials. Support the transition from pre-construction to operations by ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and organized. Prepare visual materials that improve client communication and internal understanding of project scope. Ensure all graphics, documentation, and presentations align with company standards, processes, and branding. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency, accuracy, and service quality. Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications Required Skills and Abilities Strong understanding of residential construction processes, documentation, project coordination, and pre-construction operations. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and layouts. Proficiency in design, drafting, and markup software such as Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction or project management software. Strong understanding of residential construction plans and documentation. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational, time-management, leadership, and multitasking abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments and teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong customer service and relationship management skills. Ability to collaborate with, support, motivate, and develop team members. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of experience in graphic design, pre-construction, construction, estimating support, or a related field preferred. Experience in pre-construction, estimating support, graphic design, or residential construction preferred. Experience creating or updating construction layouts, graphics, plans, proposals, or client-facing presentations preferred. Experience with residential electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC layouts preferred. Understanding of residential construction processes, plans, and documentation is a plus. Ability to successfully pass pre-employment screenings, including background check, motor vehicle record review, and any other screenings required by company policy. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a fast-paced office environment. Ability to work effectively in an open-office cubicle environment while maintaining focus, productivity, and attention to detail. Perform repetitive hand and finger movements, including typing and data entry, while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and attention to detail. Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 25 pounds. Use phones, computers, keyboards, and other office equipment. Effectively multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing schedules and operational demands. Frequently communicate and interact with employees, customers, vendors, and internal departments. Communicate clearly and professionally in writing, in person, and over the phone. May be required to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, or during peak operational periods as needed. Travel may be required as needed to support business operations. Must have dependable transportation and a commitment to punctual, reliable on-site attendance.
