Summit Skilled Solutions Position Summary Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for building construction projects. This role is responsible for directing on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors and project staff, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations and maintain detailed daily reports. Plan and supervise construction activities, including sequencing, staffing, equipment, materials, and scheduling. Monitor project progress, productivity, and quality; implement corrective actions as needed. Provide input on cost and schedule forecasts; support project closeout and ensure timely completion of punch list items. Identify potential delays or changed conditions and communicate promptly to project leadership. Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules. Lead weekly coordination and status meetings with project stakeholders. Develop and distribute short-term (3-week look-ahead) schedules to align field operations. Review crew productivity against budget expectations and resolve field issues impacting performance. Ensure jobsite security and organization at all times. Train, mentor, and support development of field staff. Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional work environment. Address employee performance concerns in coordination with project and operations leadership. Support workforce diversity and participation goals, including DBE compliance. Ensure high standards of workmanship and verify materials and methods meet project specifications. Promote and enforce safety standards; conduct inspections, lead toolbox talks, and support incident investigations. Document safety activities and ensure timely corrective actions. Coordinate labor, equipment, and material needs with Field Operations leadership. Collaborate across trades and departments to maintain project flow and schedule adherence. Support employee development initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and field experience. Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience in the construction industry. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Solid understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and field operations. Broad knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and construction management tools such as Bluebeam and HCSS. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as project demands require. Commitment to safety, quality, and company values.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
