This position will oversee field production, scheduling, manpower, quality, safety, materials, and overall operational performance across multiple single-family construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong experience in residential new-construction HVAC and understands what it takes to successfully manage a high-volume production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can build and develop a strong field team while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to company and builder standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily HVAC operations for new-build single-family residential projects. Manage and coordinate HVAC installation crews, foremen, subcontractors, and field personnel. Develop manpower plans and ensure the right resources are available to meet construction schedules. Coordinate closely with builders, superintendents, project managers, and internal leadership. Monitor project schedules and ensure HVAC installations remain on track with overall construction timelines. Establish and maintain production expectations, goals, and performance standards. Review job progress and identify potential scheduling, labor, material, or production issues before they impact the project. Ensure HVAC installations meet company standards, applicable codes, specifications, and builder requirements. Conduct field visits and inspections to monitor quality, productivity, safety, and job-site conditions. Troubleshoot field issues and provide timely solutions to keep projects moving. Manage material needs, inventory, deliveries, and equipment to prevent production delays. Monitor labor utilization, job costs, productivity, and overall profitability. Partner with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when needed. Recruit, train, coach, and develop HVAC field employees and foremen. Hold field leadership accountable for production, quality, safety, attendance, and performance. Assist with workforce planning and identifying future hiring needs as the operation grows. Establish consistent processes and best practices across all HVAC projects. Maintain strong relationships with builders and customers and address concerns professionally and promptly. Participate in project meetings and provide updates regarding production, manpower, schedules, and operational concerns. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Track key operational metrics and provide regular reporting to senior leadership. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce rework, control costs, and increase profitability. Support the continued growth and development of the residential HVAC operation. What We're Looking For 5+ years of HVAC experience, preferably within residential new construction. Previous leadership or operations management experience within the HVAC industry. Strong understanding of single-family residential HVAC installation and production processes. Experience managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously. Proven ability to manage manpower, scheduling, production, and job costs. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation practices, materials, and applicable codes. Experience working directly with residential builders and general contractors is highly preferred. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and schedules. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven construction environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
