Mecca Talent on behalf of a confidential client Position Overview Certified Staffing is seeking an experienced Residential Construction Superintendent for a well-established construction company in Northeast Ohio. This position will oversee the day-to-day field operations of high-end custom home, residential renovation, and remodeling projects from initial site work through final completion. The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction professional who understands residential construction from the ground up and is comfortable coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, maintaining quality standards, and communicating with project managers, homeowners, vendors, and trades. Key Responsibilities Manage daily field operations for custom home construction and residential remodeling projects Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, and inspections Maintain project schedules and proactively address issues that could impact completion dates Review plans, drawings, specifications, selections, and project requirements Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, building codes, and company quality standards Monitor subcontractor workmanship and address deficiencies promptly Coordinate project sequencing from excavation and foundations through framing, mechanicals, finishes, and final completion Conduct regular site inspections and maintain organized, professional jobsites Enforce jobsite safety requirements and proper construction practices Communicate project progress, scheduling needs, material requirements, and potential issues with project management Coordinate required municipal and building inspections Assist with material planning and verify deliveries against project requirements Manage punch-list items and ensure projects are completed to a high standard Maintain strong relationships with homeowners while representing the company professionally Help resolve field issues and construction challenges without unnecessarily delaying the project Qualifications Previous experience as a Residential Superintendent, Construction Superintendent, Project Superintendent, Lead Carpenter, or Residential Project Manager Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building practices Experience with ground-up custom homes and/or significant residential remodeling projects Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination Knowledge of framing, foundations, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, cabinetry, flooring, finish carpentry, and other residential trades Ability to identify workmanship or construction issues before they become larger problems Strong organizational and scheduling skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and priorities simultaneously Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners and clients Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic computer and mobile technology skills for schedules, project documentation, email, and communication Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply: Luxury or high-end custom home construction Design-build residential construction Whole-home renovations and additions Custom finish work Managing multiple residential projects Residential estimating or project management Working directly with homeowners, architects, designers, and subcontractors What We're Looking For This position requires more than someone who can simply monitor a jobsite.
