10 Month SUMMARY Responsible for compliance with policies and procedures, current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the Glenpool Child Nutrition Department. Responsible for all Child Nutrition food and non-food inventory and production. Supervise site staff. Assures highest quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Schedules and coordinates the work of site cooks and other kitchen employees to assure that food preparation is economical and technically correct under the direction of the Child Nutrition Executive Manager or Child Nutrition Assistant Director. ? Ensures that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout site kitchen area at all times. ? Attends Child Nutrition staff and management meetings. ? Consults with the Child Nutrition Assistant Director about food production aspects of special events being planned. ? Cooks or directly supervises the cooking of items that require skillful preparation. ? Ensures proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality. ? Daily evaluation food products to ensure that quality standards are consistently attained. ? Interacts with Child Nutrition Assistant Director to assure that food production consistently exceeds the expectations of students and staff. ? Assists in maintaining a high level of service principles in accordance with established standards (ie Civil Rights, Non-Negotiables, HACCP, Safe Serve). ? Establishes and maintains a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for site kitchen areas and equipment. ? Supports safe work habits and a safe working environment, at all times. ? Ensure State and Federal Meal Pattern Guidelines for the district as outlined in the OKSDE- Cafeteria Managers section Meal Patterns CM
- under the direction of the Child Nutrition Assistant Director. ? Arrange serving lines to comply with the offer versus serve State and Federal Guidelines for the district as outlined in the OKSDE
- Cafeteria Managers section Offer versus Serve CM under the direction of the Child Nutrition Executive Manager or Child Nutrition Assistant Director. ? Ensure all foods purchased meet State and Federal Guidelines for the district as outlined in the OKSDE
- Cafeteria Managers section Crediting of Food CM under the direction of the Child Nutrition Assistant Director. ? Keep current and accurate production records as required by State and Federal Guidelines for the district as outlined in the OKSDE
- Production Records CM ? Incorporate School Food Safety Program Based on the Process Approach to HACCP Principles as required by State and Federal Guidelines for the district as outlined in the OKSDE
- Food Safety/HACCP ? Ensure all USDA/Commodity foods are managed properly as required by State and Federal Guidelines for the district as outlined in the OKSDE

? Train, supervise, and mentor all site employees. ? Provide, develop, train, and maintain a professional workforce. ? Ensure all services to members are conducted in a highly professional and efficient manner. ? Working knowledge of various computer software programs.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Food Handlers Certification. Certificate of completion from trade school and/or experience. Driver's License.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel items; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.WORK ENVIRONMENT/WORK AUTHORIZATION
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is usually indoors, in a controlled environment, and experiences a moderate noise level in the work environment. The employee will be subject to the outside environment during truck deliveries and freezer conditions during stocking and inventory. Fingerprint- based background checks are required.
