Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate all on-site activities, manage subcontractors and crews, ensure adherence to safety standards, and maintain project schedules and budgets. Your leadership will drive project success, ensuring quality workmanship and timely delivery while fostering a safe and productive work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your construction management expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Responsibilities Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring work progresses according to project plans, schedules, and specifications. Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. Coordinate project schedules. Review blueprints, technical drawings, and contracts to interpret project requirements accurately; ensure compliance with all relevant construction regulations including OSHA standards. Conduct regular site inspections for quality control, safety compliance, and progress tracking; document findings using Bluebeam or other digital tools. Collaborate with project managers. Enforce federal construction safety regulations and company safety policies; conduct safety meetings and training sessions for crew members. Review construction schedules for coordination of activities; manage the timely resolution of issues impacting project timelines. Supervise the review of construction drawings and technical documents; interpret technical drawings for accurate implementation on-site. Maintain effective communication with clients, management teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project alignment and transparency. Experience Proven experience managing commercial or heavy civil construction projects with a strong track record of supervising teams in a fast-paced environment. Extensive knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; experience with construction scheduling and project planning is essential. Strong understanding of federal safety regulations (OSHA) along with construction safety management practices. Experience supervising multiple crews on large-scale projects; excellent managerial communication skills are vital for team leadership. Familiarity with managing contracts, change orders, budgeting processes, and quality control procedures in a construction setting.
