We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction and Project Readiness Manager to oversee the planning and coordination process for our residential and commercial plumbing and HVAC projects. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring every project is properly reviewed, accurately prepared, fully coordinated, and ready for a successful handoff to operations. This is not an estimator position. We're looking for someone who understands construction from the inside out—someone who can identify problems before they happen, build efficient processes, and ensure field crews have everything they need to succeed on day one. What You'll Do As our Pre-Construction and Project Readiness Manager, you'll oversee the entire pre-construction process from contract award through project handoff.

Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Managing the pre-construction workflow to ensure projects are fully prepared before construction begins. Reviewing plumbing and HVAC estimates to verify they align with approved purchase orders and project requirements. Preparing and reviewing customer proposals. Writing and refining scopes of work. Participating in pre-construction meetings with builders, developers, and project stakeholders. Reviewing project budgets and assisting with financial planning during pre-construction. Reviewing contracts and identifying items requiring clarification or follow-up. Pricing and preparing change orders. Coordinating with field leadership to verify labor, materials, permits, and information are in place before projects begin. Overseeing project handoff to operations to ensure a seamless transition from planning to execution. Continuously improving pre-construction processes, documentation, and quality control procedures. Working closely with office staff and field leadership to ensure projects remain organized and on schedule. Your goal is simple:

make sure projects are ready before the first shovel hits the ground. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of construction industry experience . Experience in plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, civil, engineering, construction management, or general contracting is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Comfortable working with multiple projects and competing priorities. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and common construction software. Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, PlanSwift, Stack, Procore, Monday.com, Google Workspace, FieldPulse, ServiceTitan, or similar platforms is preferred but not required.
