POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for supervising and coordinating daily field operations for assigned projects or work areas. This role oversees crews, productivity, safety, and quality execution, ensuring work is performed in accordance with project schedules, specifications, company standards, and client requirements. The Foreman serves as the primary on-site leader responsible for manpower coordination, work sequencing, and field execution while maintaining close communication with the General Foreman, Superintendent, and project management team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Field Execution & Leadership

• Lead and supervise daily field operations for assigned projects or work areas.
• Direct Lead Technicians and field crews to ensure efficient execution of the approved scope of work.
• Plan daily and short-term work activities based on project priorities and schedule requirements.
• Maintain full understanding of the assigned scope of work and installation requirements. Quality, Standards & Technical Oversight
• Ensure all installations meet company quality standards, TIA/EIA requirements, and BICSI installation practices.
• Verify proper installation, testing, labeling, grounding, and bonding of copper and fiber systems.
• Review and validate test results and documentation prior to submission or project closeout.
• Ensure readiness for inspections, testing, and client walkthroughs. Safety & Compliance
• Enforce all company safety policies, site-specific safety plans, and PPE requirements.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and job hazard analysis as required.
• Identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action. Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate with the General Foreman, Superintendent, Project Managers, and other trades as required.
• Communicate daily progress, constraints, and field issues to leadership.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence on site. Documentation & Reporting
• Ensure accurate completion of required field documentation, including daily reports, manpower tracking, test records, and closeout documentation.
• Track material usage and coordinate material needs with logistics or project management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of low voltage, structured cabling experience or data center construction, including prior field leadership experience.

OSHA 30 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, fiber optic installations, and field construction practices.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple crews and manage daily field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Strong understanding of productivity, manpower planning, and work sequencing.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and job site safety practices.
• Solid understanding of installation standards, testing procedures, and quality requirements.
• Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound field decisions.
• Customer-focused and solutions-oriented mindset.

CERTIFICATIONS

• BICSI (Technician)

FOA CFOS/T

Certification.

• NICET Level II Certification.
• Lift Equipment Certification (scissor lift, boom lift, or aerial lift).
• Fall Protection Training.
• Confined Space Entry Training.
• Manufacturer or vendor-specific certifications related to low voltage or data center systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Field-based role with daily presence on active construction and data center sites.
• Exposure to ladders, lifts, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.
• Exposure to typical job site hazards, including noise, dust, and moving equipment.
• Travel to project sites as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Sitting - occasionally, including during brief periods of documentation or equipment setup.
• Standing for extended periods of time on active job sites.
• Walking frequently throughout construction sites and data center environments.
• Climbing and/or balancing, including the use of ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights, including above-ground structures and overhead pathways.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching as required to perform installation activities.
• Ability to bend, squat, crawl, reach overhead, and maneuver in confined or tight spaces.
• Repetitive hand and wrist motion associated with tool use and occasional use of mobile devices or testing equipment.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, labels, and documentation.
• Talking and hearing to communicate effectively in noisy job site environments.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, temperature variations, dust, and moving traffic on occasion.

Pay:

$30.50 - $36.74 per hour
