The Facilities Construction Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects by working closely with project managers, contractors and other stakeholders to coordinate various aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This includes supporting the planning process, execution, and completion of construction projects in order to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This is an entry level position. While performing this job you will gain a unique experience in being an owner's rep for small to larger scale construction projects.

YOU'LL DO
Collaborate with project managers to facilitate smooth project execution. Assist in creating project schedules, milestones, and timelines in alignment with project goals. Track and monitor progress; identify and communicate potential delays. Research and assist in sourcing materials, equipment, and supplies required for projects. Prepare, distribute and maintain project documentation and/or files; including but not limited to pay applications, purchase orders, project update/ progress presentations, project plans, drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc. Coordinate calendars and timelines for Project Managers and schedule appointments. Record discussions at meetings; prepare, distribute, and maintain project meeting minutes and action logs. Support project managers in facilitating clear and effective communication between project teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Interact with a diverse group of external and internal contractors at all levels. Participate in design/construction meetings via in-person or virtual. Occasionally attend jobsite meetings on behalf of Project Manager and report meeting minutes to office immediately as required after meeting. Prepare regular progress reports for project managers, highlighting key milestones and issues.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Associate degree in from a two-year-college or university; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Entry level knowledge of construction processes preferred. Microsoft office skills a plus (Word, Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint, Outlook, Microsoft Projects). Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work outside of normal business hours, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
