- Full-time, Contract Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to oversee our construction projects in our big box division.
(CVS, Walmart, Sam's, Rouses, etc) The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with expertise in project scheduling, and quality control. This role requires effective leadership and communication skills to ensure that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently and safety. May include travel with in the Miami to W Palm areas. Previous traveling Big box Superintendents encouraged to apply . Responsibilities Ensure quality control throughout project phases Effectively communicate with Project Manager and Store management. Maintain safe, cleans and a well-organized job site and office Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and trades Experienced in MEP and Civil scope of work Manage schedules, inspections, materials, and logistics Manage and control inventory Conduct and document progress meetings Ensure compliance with safety standards, SWPPP, and company protocols Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure all specifications are met. Skills Must have minimum of 3 yrs big box experience. (CVS,Walmart, Sam's, Rouses) Minimum of 5 years supervising and coordinating subcontractor trades Experience in scheduling, field supervision, quality control, safety, and subcontractor management Proven expertise in Walmart projects (experience with other big-box stores and ground up is a plus) OSHA 30-hour Construction Training (preferred or must obtain upon hire) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Additional certifications (SWPPP) Familiarity with construction management software including Wrike, ProCore, and others. Experience with blueprint reading and interpretation of schematics. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices in a construction environment.
