Superintendent - Commercial Construction Founded in 1939 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Lambert Construction Company began as a masonry and tile business and has grown into the area's largest commercial contractor. Lambert Construction has earned numerous honors, including multiple AGC Build Oklahoma Awards, the Alliant Build America Merit Award, and the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce Family-Owned Business of the Year. Lambert Construction Company seeks a Superintendent with 5+ years of field experience as lead superintendent on commercial projects with an emphasis on large waste water and/or utility infrastructure projects. This position requires the candidate to direct and monitor the progress of construction activities while maintaining safety, schedule and budget requirements. This position requires technical and administrative skills along with the ability to be organized. Candidates for this position must have a construction education and/or verifiable construction experience in commercial construction.
Key Roles/Responsibilities include:
Assist in project start-up. Advise Project Manager of circumstances and issues that will have a significant impact on the project schedule. Work with the project management team, track job progress and job costs. Document issues that impact the project schedule or will impact project budget and assign resolution to appropriate individuals in attendance. Maintain daily reports in accordance with company policies and procedures that accurately describe project status. Verify accuracy of drawing plan measurements of floors, walls, ceilings, etc. Identify discrepancies and take corrective action with Project Manager. Establish effective working relationships with client, architects, sub-contractors and others. Meet daily with subcontractors to ensure daily schedules and task lists are understood. Continually enforce safety policies and procedures. Qualified candidates have the following skills, knowledge, and experience: 5+ years of field experience as lead superintendent in commercial projects. Strong organizational and people skills. Proactive with ability to anticipate and solve problems before they arise. Coordinate multiple tasks through time management skills. Basic computer skills.
