Job Description
Job Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Construction Manager to lead large-scale data center construction projects. You'll own schedule, budget, and quality for complex, mission-critical builds, coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal engineering teams. In this high-ownership role, you'll enforce AWS safety and quality standards, manage risk and change, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end delivery of hyperscale data center construction projects for AWS. Manage schedules, budgets, and quality metrics across multiple concurrent builds. Coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe, on-time delivery. Interpret construction documents, specifications, and BIM models to resolve field issues. Partner with design, operations, and data center engineering teams to align construction with standards. Implement and enforce AWS safety, quality, and commissioning procedures on site. Track progress, risks, and changes; report status and mitigations to senior stakeholders. Support bidding, contract negotiations, and change order management with suppliers. Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement, leveraging data and lessons learned across regions.
