Position Summary The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities for assigned projects. This role manages jobsite safety, field operations, project scheduling, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and workforce productivity. The Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position reports directly to the Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain a safe work environment while enforcing company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Manage daily field operations for commercial construction projects. Develop and execute project schedules to ensure timely project completion. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and RDC field personnel. Conduct and lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings. Monitor project quality and ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize project impacts. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders. Collaborate closely with Project Managers to achieve project goals and maintain effective communication. Participate in and actively support Rich Duncan Construction's Lean 3.0 training and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor and manage RDC laborers and carpentry staff. Maintain project documentation and reports using construction management software. Qualifications Required 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or similar construction leadership role. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and commitment to workplace safety. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and productivity. Preferred Commercial construction experience. Vocational, trade school, or construction-related education. Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Foundation, or similar platforms. Experience leading field crews and coordinating multiple subcontractors.
