Job Description
Overview Lead Projects from Start to Finish Windwave is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the field execution of telecommunications, utility, and civil construction projects from mobilization through closeout. As the primary field leader, you'll oversee daily operations, supervise crews and subcontractors, coordinate resources, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in the field and enjoys building successful teams and projects. What You'll Do Lead field operations from project startup through final completion. Supervise Foremen, crews, subcontractors, and vendors while promoting accountability and teamwork. Plan daily construction activities and coordinate labor, equipment, and materials. Drive project performance by managing production, schedule, quality, and field execution. Ensure work complies with contract documents, engineering plans, customer requirements, and company standards. Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Build strong working relationships with Project Managers, customers, inspectors, utility representatives, and subcontractors. Prepare daily reports, production updates, inspections, and project documentation. Identify field issues, change orders, and project risks while developing practical solutions. Support forecasting, scheduling, punch list completion, and project closeout activities. What You'll Bring 5+ years of progressively responsible construction experience. 3+ years leading crews as a Superintendent or similar field leadership role. Experience managing telecommunications, fiber, utility, civil, or infrastructure construction projects. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, productivity, and field operations. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors on complex construction projects. Experience with construction management software. Work Environment This is a field-based leadership position requiring regular travel between active construction projects. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight travel based on project schedules. The Site Superintendent is expected to maintain a visible leadership presence while promoting a safe, productive, and professional work environment.
