Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
An employer in The Dalles is seeking a skilled and reliable Site Supervisor to join an experienced residential construction team serving Oregon and Washington. This team delivers a wide range of building and remodeling services for projects of all sizes. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day job site operations, directing crews and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project scope, quality standards, and code compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid driver's license to drive a company truck.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential or commercial construction, including home building, remodeling, or finish carpentry.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or crew lead role.
PREFERENCES
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating schedules, material deliveries, and daily work activities.
  • Comfortable interacting directly with clients and management.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
JOB DUTIES
  • Oversee daily job site operations, track progress, and report updates or delays to management.
  • Serve as the primary on-site liaison between management, crews, and clients, addressing issues professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor and secure material, supply, and tool needs and coordinate deliveries to prevent project interruptions.
  • Supervise crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work aligns with project scope, quality standards, and code compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of project meetings, client communications, progress, and change orders.
  • Document material, tool, and equipment needs to keep management informed.
  • Enforce job site safety practices, correct unsafe behaviors, and ensure work meets quality standards and code requirements.
  • Coordinate with inspectors as needed to maintain project compliance.
  • Inspect workmanship of employees and subcontractors to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Address deficiencies or errors promptly to maintain project quality.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, set timelines, and monitor progress to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Identify challenges quickly and implement solutions to minimize impact on timelines and quality. HOURS
