We are looking for an Area Manager (Heavy Highway
  • Roadway/Bridge projects) for the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia region. As an Area Manager for Heavy Highway
  • Roadway/Bridge projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, you will: Provide overall management direction for a regional "mega-project" or multiple large and small regional Heavy Highway projects

e. plans, directs, and coordinates activities. Ensures that all projects and goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Manages Project Engineers/Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen who supervise construction employees; charged with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the project proposals or plans to determine the timeframe, funding limitations, project procedures, staffing requirements, and available resources for various phases of the projects. Oversee the work plans and staffing for each phase of the projects to ensure coverage and identify/solve any potential gaps. Oversee project staff's work plans, and assign duties/responsibilities and authority. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget. Review status reports from project personnel and modify schedules/plans as needed. Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. Coordinate project activities with activities of governmental agencies and subcontractors. Understand, analyze, and execute CPM-based project schedules. Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management 15+ years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. #M1 #LI-JO1
