Job Summary The Scale Master is responsible for weighing trucks, processing load tickets, and ensuring accurate documentation of materials entering and leaving the quarry. This role supports daily operations by coordinating with drivers, dispatch, and plant personnel to keep traffic flowing efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and accurate records. Key Responsibilities Scale Operations Weigh inbound and outbound trucks using scale systems. Issue load tickets and verify material types, quantities, and customer information. Enter orders and load data into the system accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of all materials and transactions. Customer Service & Communication Communicate clearly with truck drivers, customers, and plant personnel. Provide directions to drivers for safe and efficient traffic flow. Answer customer questions regarding orders, loads, and scheduling. Maintain a professional and helpful attitude at all times. Operations Support Coordinate with plant operators, dispatch, and supervisors to manage truck flow. Monitor and report any discrepancies in loads, tickets, or materials. Assist with general office or site tasks as needed. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience in a quarry, construction, or industrial environment preferred. Previous customer service or administrative experience a plus. Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills and ability to learn scale/dispatch systems. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Working Conditions Work performed in a scale house or office setting at a quarry or plant site. Frequent interaction with drivers, customers, and plant personnel. May require early mornings, extended hours, or weekend work depending on production needs. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a computer. Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting. Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment. The Scale Master plays an important role in maintaining safe traffic flow and ensuring compliance with load weight regulations. Compensation Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Final pay decisions are made by the hiring manager following the interview and selection process. Reimbursements:
