Job Description

Position:
Healthcare Construction Superintendent Ausley Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendent to join its Central Pennsylvania team. This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits and the opportunity to work with a well-established company that has been in business for 65 years with a strong reputation for stability and long-term success.
Preferred Experience:
Five (5) years of healthcare and commercial construction experience. Proven track record of successfully managing healthcare facility projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Healthcare Construction Superintendent, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing various aspects of healthcare construction projects from start to finish.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Project Coordination:
Overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring that all work is performed according to project schedules and deadlines.
Subcontractor Management:
Scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, ensuring their work meets quality and safety standards.
Quality Control:
Ensuring that all construction meets contract specifications, hospital guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Inspections & Compliance:
Managing site inspections, working closely with inspectors, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Jobsite Safety:
Enforcing strict safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings, and ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.
Communication & Teamwork:
Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, hospital administrators, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Problem-Solving:
Addressing challenges or delays proactively and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced construction environment. Excellent communication and coordination abilities to effectively interact with subcontractors, clients, and project teams. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, infection control procedures, and hospital construction best practices. Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools is a plus.
